Apparently some friends of ours have had Rogers cancel the installation appointment several times. I guess that’s the power of a monopoly.

Called the next day. Apparently the appointment was never entered on their computer. WTF.

]]> Last weekend, my husband and I were casually strolling along a cute downtown street in the early evening. We’d just come from an interesting lecture, and were enjoying just walking and talking. The temperature was perfect, the street was lit up with blue Christmas lights, and the trendy restaurants were full of people smiling and laughing. It was a truly perfect moment.A perfect moment, that is, until the middle aged gentleman walking directly in front of us decided to blow his nose - onto the sidewalk. He quite literally put his finger to one side of his nose, and sharply cleared the other side towards the snow at his feet. Even as I describe this, I’m feeling a little grossed out. Really, is this even an option?

The sidewalk snorker certainly dampened my blissful, romantic moment. I imagine his two companions felt just rosy about this display as well.

Note to people traveling outside in winter: BRING KLEENEX! Or if you’re desperate, use your mittens…
